A Little Bit of DIY Goes a Long Way

I have always enjoyed working with my hands. It is my “me” time. A way for me to unwind and not have to thing about everything else going on in my life. I’ve done everything from flooring to remodeling an entire kitchen (building the cabinets from plywood and all).

My desire to create comes from my grandmother. She is an amazing seamstress and a baker – and I remember when I used to watch her as a child create these mesmerizing towing cakes with hand spun flowers and staircases. They would take your breath away. (It was always a plus that I would get to eat the rolled up cake tops.)

In high school I attended a vocational school in Franklin, Massachusetts where I refined and expanded my knowledge of how to build and work with wood and metals. Welding was something I greatly enjoyed as well – although I do not partake in it now (but you never know what the future holds…)

I stopped working on these projects for a long time. Not having the time or the support to follow my inspirations. Now I have amazing people around me who support and back me on anything I can get my hands on. (Thank you, you know who you are). Now I am getting back into the swing of things and building up my workshop. I am getting really excited to see what I can come up with, now that I am not limited by anything but my imagination. 🙂

Really looking forward to sharing it all with you.
